Loch Langabhat is the headwater of the Grimersta Fishery.
Grimersta Estate has approximately 5 1/2 miles (9km) of bank fishing on the
north-western shore of Loch Langabhat, running from where the fence line enters
Loch Langabhat from Loch Bruaiche Bhreibhat, across the two rivers that leave
Langabhat (Faoghail Beag and Faoghail Mhor) to the head of the Tob Cam bay, the
narrow northern most bay which lies below the north west slope of Roineabhal
hill.
For season 2021, Stornoway Angling Association has the use of a boat on the Grimersta section of Langabhat and any boat bookings should be made through the appropriate points of contact in the club. Only club members on the Approved Langabhat Users List may take the boat out.
Bank anglers are welcome and there is no charge but permission MUST be obtained
from the Estate Office.
Any legal method is permitted but fly fishing is encouraged. Anglers are reminded that legally, they
are ONLY allowed to fish one rod at a time.
Guidelines for catch and release (see main Loch Langabhat page) are observed and rod returns are submitted as soon as possible.
