Overview

Knockquhassen Reservoir is a wonderfully sprawling 37 acres reservoir which is made up of a mixture of shallow and deep troughs, just 15 minutes from Stranraer. Situated at NX0188 5940 the reservoir can be accessed with care down a single track road (note the last 100 yards can be a bit rough). The water is stocked with hard fighting rainbow trout and although not the easiest of fishing, it is well worth the effort. Brown trout are also stocked complimenting the natural populations of brown trout which tend to be found in the shallower end of the reservoir.  If you are resident at GreenLoch House, Soulseat associated tickets areavailable for those who have a caravan or holiday home in the area.
