Overview

The Blairs beat located approximately 5 miles from Aberdeen, consists of 1.3 miles right bank and 0.75 miles of left bank fishing on the Lower Dee. There are 7 named pools which are extremely long and can easily accommodate 2 rods.

Fishing is available for as little as one rod for one day to weekly lets for parties of up to four fishers.

The beat has been lightly fished over the past few years and offers a good chance in most water conditions from April onwards.

The beat offers good Sea Trout and Grilse fishing from May until the 'back-end' Salmon run arrives in August lasting until the end of the season. As the beat is located on the Lower Dee the vast majority of the Salmon will be fresh run sea-liced 'bars of silver'.

Night Sea Trout fishing can be good from mid-May until the end of July. However, Sea Trout fishing may only be offered if there are free rods/days which have not been taken up by Salmon anglers, contact for more details.

Wading is almost a necessity for this beat due to the high banks on the right hand side of the beat and therefore possibly more suited to the intermediate/experienced angler.

There is no ghillie provided, however once booked you will be shown the water upon arrival.

Self-catering accommodation is available for the fishing cabin.
