The deal will see FishPal.com transitioned to the SpeedyBooker platform, then embark on an ambitious growth plan. FishPal will join the growing network of SpeedyBooker websites, which include Britainsfinest.co.uk, Monasteries.com, UniversityRooms.com, HostelHunter.com, and BeachHuts.com, as well as a host of partner websites.
Mark Cockburn from FishPal said "SpeedyBooker is the ideal partner with their strong technology, and expertise in advanced multi-currency and multilingual booking systems. Its management team understands fishing and wants to invest in FishPal to continue its expansion of our domestic and international markets."
Charlie Ramsay, Founder and Chief Executive of SpeedyBooker said "FishPal is a great website with a loyal following. We see many opportunities to invest to further improve the website and systems, increase bookings, and expand its footprint both internationally and into other types of fishing. It will be upgraded yet retain all the features that customers know and love. I'm delighted that Mark Cockburn will continue to lead FishPal, and that his team are excited about their future."
Society has connected with the outdoors and nature during the Covid-19 pandemic. Fishing has seen people of all ages trying it for the first time and many reconnecting for its physical benefits and mental well-being. Over a million people go fishing in the UK each year. FishPal helps to increase participation in fishing, particularly amongst the under 25 age group, by making the sport more accessible through its easy to use website.
