Mark Cockburn - CEO

Mark Cockburn - Email Mark.

Team Position: CEO FishPal

Lives: Edinburgh.

In his own words:I have been a fisherman all my life with my earliest memories being fishing in Edinburgh as a boy on the Water of Leith catching trout. My passion for salmon fishing began when I started fishing on the river Tay as a teenager and now like nothing better than to be on a beat, probably in Scotland, with friends and experiencing all that fishing is about beyond catching fish.

I joined FishPal as CEO in 2013 and love what we do, which in simple terms, is to bring affordable and available fishing to everyone on as many rivers as is possible across the country. Some of my most memorable days since joining FishPal have been with guests/friends both young and old sharing stories, lending flies and being happy to just be out on the river in some beautiful places. In 2018 I was asked to be an ambassador for the Atlantic Salmon Trust which I was particularly proud to accept. I have so much time for the AST and their Missing Salmon Project which is really exciting and I can’t wait to see what the results start to tell us about the plight of the Atlantic Salmon at sea.

Fishing is my passion and leading the FishPal team is a real honour as we try and keep proactive and do what we can to support our valuable industry. But most of all, it’s all about the fun of fishing, helping introduce new anglers to our sport and sharing the stories that come from trips with friends for the rest of your life!

Anne Woodcock - Sales and Marketing Manager

Anne Woodcock - Email Anne.

Team Position: Sales & Marketing Manager

Lives: County Durham.

In her own words: Can't think of anything better than enjoying a day fishing with friends. Over the years I've been lucky enough to catch magical 20lb plus salmon and a range of other fish species in the UK and abroad.

The company changed it's name to FishPal in 2010 and I was asked to join in June of that year. My remit was to engage with anglers across the globe and grow FishPal as the place where owners sold and anglers purchased fishing permits. My role includes newsletters, media enquiries, social media marketing and advertising, using my skills from 18 years working for Yell Group.

Other interests include introducing women to fishing with Ladiesfishing. During the last 12 months I’ve started a weekly radio show at a local radio station and earlier this year I was picked by the BBC to spend a week training with them at BBC Wood Norton.

Team Position: IT Consultant

Lives: Northern Ireland.

In his own words: Obsessed fly fisher, traveling all over Ireland, Scotland and Sweden for salmon and sea trout. Fishing for native Irish Dollghan trout has also taken on an interest recently.

Gail Tunnah - Accounts Manager

Gail Tunnah - Email Gail.

Team Position: Accounts and Administration.

Lives: Harris, Outer Hebrides.

In her own words: Having been based in the Stichill office since 1985, I moved to the Isle of Harris in the year 2000. Not I might add to escape the FishPal office, but to live the dream. I can work, rest and play in this idyllic location which is set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer.

From my office window I can see everything from sea pools to the hills of Harris, where there are abundant trout lochs. The Hebrides offers some of the best of salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing.
