Overview

The Upper Bridgetown salmon fishery is a privately run  fishery which has undergone extensive work under new management. Located 10 miles down river from the town of Mallow and 9 miles upriver from Fermoy. The beat has a wide variety of water, from smooth glides to fast streams to deep holding pools. This ensures a very good prospect of sport in many different water conditions. It is also situated just above the joining of the river Awbeg, a major temperature barrier, which holds fish in the area. Some parts may be fished from the bank, wading is an advantage and is over an even gravel bed. Extensive work has been carried out allowing the angler to fish practically the entire beat. For partys booking a series of days other beats are also available. The fishery supports catch and release and suggests that all double figure fish be put back. Smaller fish may be kept within the state licence guidelines.

GUIDING.

Tuition and guiding are also available, please contact Conor Arnold A.P.G.A.I-Ireland casting instructor..
