Snabdough

Fishery

The beat fishes throughout its lengh depending on water height. Much of the beat is suitable to both overhead and speycasting.

Starting downstream from The Chirdon and Tarset Burns, the flow continues its way down to the fishing hut (with table and chairs) overlooking Blackies Hole, which is the deepest pool on the stretch. This stretch is the best of the half mile. The river continues further down to Boyo's Pool which is a favourite with the regular fishers.

Vehicle access to Fishing Hut.

Why you need to fish here

A lightly fished beat on the North Tyne averaging 33 fish a year. Sea trout appear in July with the peak of salmon in September and October. A very accessible single/right-bank fishery just over half-a-mile long with good fly and holding water. Vehicle access to the fishing.
