Holmingham Salmon fishery is just under one mile of double bank fishing set in 200 acres of native oak woods and meadows. There are no public rights of way.
There are 12 named pools most of which can be fished from the bank, but the wading is relatively easy should it be preferred.
There are both high and low water pools as well as the Junction pool where the river Batherm enters the Exe. Salmon spawn in the Batherm so there are normally fish laid up waiting to run it.
The Exe will normally clear quickly as most of the water is coming off Exmoor. There is also a large herd of red deer at Holmingham as well as Peregrines.
