Badwell Ash Fishery is located in the heart of rural mid Suffolk not far from Bury St Edmunds and under an hour from Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge, Newmarket, Thetford and the beautiful Suffok coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. The fishery comprises three spring-fed gravel pits that fell into disuse long ago and have naturally flooded. The site is around 5 acres in total and the lakes are between 0.3 and 0.7 acres with depths to 14 feet. The lakes are naturally managed to provide an environment for a diverse range of wildlife including rare flora and fauna. There is a range of species in the lake with carp to 20lbs+, tench and bream to 5lbs, and rudd, roach and perch. There are no pike or catfish. Around the lakes are five luxury self-catering lodges, which are spaced well apart from each other, and well appointed internally. The owners aim to combine top quality fishing with luxurious accommodation, and they place great empahsis on personal service to ensure you enjoy your stay. Please note that fishing is exclusive for accommodation guests - there are no day tickets.
