Eden Report W/C 2nd of September
Another good week on the Eden.
At Low House on Wednesday a 14lb fish was caught on a ally’s shrimp and Thursday the a 18lb male salmon was landed and a further 3 fish lost off on a black Francis, another 8lb fish was landed on Sunday.
Further up at Eden Lacy on Saturday a 8lb fish was landed in the meadow pool on a Black Francis.
The river is currently 4,2ft and just starting to fall after an over night rise, should become clear enough for the fly late tomorrow / Wednesday
Larger flys and tubes to start and size 10/12 and smaller micro tubes towards the end of the week, experiment with depths.
The fish are spread throughout the system and starting to show them selves more but keep the faith and believe in the take even if you don’t see any the fish are there.
Tight lines

We at FishPal would like to thank Terence McDonnell for his regular reports, he is a farmer who started fishing for trout as a young boy. The late Victor Gubbins, Eden Lacy beat, introduced him to salmon fishing a few years ago along with Andrew Jackson, and since then he has been passionate about it. Working on the land near the Eden, Terence is never far away from the river as we thank him for his reports.
