Wales

It might be the smallest country in the UK & Ireland but it packs a real punch when it comes to fly fishing. Wales is all about the secretive and enigmatic sea trout. Like the salmon, the sewin (as the locals call it) is under threat however Wales is a real stronghold. Sea trout grow surprisingly big and fight like tigers once hooked. Of course that is easier said than done as the sea trout is very shy and spooks easily, so a delicate, careful and patient approach is needed. When it all comes together the thrill of catching a sewin in the dead of night with just the moon and owls for company is immense.
