Description

This is the bottom fishery on the Tweed, and it excels in low water conditions. There are three miles of single bank fishing on the Scottish (left) side, with plenty of easy wading, bank fishing as well as from a boat.

The water includes streams, riffles, glides and runs and is most attractive with 24 named pools. A full time ghillie looks after the four rods with an extra ghillie taken on at peak times. Given low water conditions July and August can produce wonderful sport when higher Tweed beats are having a lean time.

In common with other lower beats, Tweedhill landed a record catch in 2003 with July, August, September and October all producing first class sport.
