In Scotland, these figures have been kindly provided by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and in England by The Environment Agency (EA).

The heights shown are automatically updated by our database when data is emailed to it by SEPA. These emails should come in at around 7am, 1pm and 7pm each day (but an hour earlier in winter time). The EA levels only get emailed to us in the morning.

If the emails contain out of date data, or simply do not come, our database does not update the website, but automatically notifies the provider of the problem and waits for the next update to come.

Please note these figures are not guaranteed and anyone wishing to make important decisions based on river heights should check direct with SEPA or the EA
