Description

IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH FOR 2016 AUTUMN FISHING
We currently have limited availability for our autumn fishing. Please click on the link below under "How to Book" for full availability.

This middle Tweed beat has one of the most magnificent settings possible. It lies below Scotts View made famous by Sir Walter Scott. This was his favourite spot to stop his carriage and gaze out over the river Tweed meandering below him through the beautiful border countryside. The beat lies in a wooded gorge that keeps it almost completely hidden from the outside world. Stunning trees with spectacular autumn colours and amazing wildlife make this a great beat for people wanting peaceful fishing in beautiful surrounds.

The fishing includes one and a half miles of the right bank with eight named pools. Nearly all of it is fishable and it copes well with low water, whilst still containing sufficient fishing for high water conditions. 20lbs+ salmon are caught each year from this beat. To gain the most enjoyment from this beat it is important that fishers can spey cast and are competent waders. There is a hut and toilet on the bottom of the beat with a good access road to the hut.

2016 Syndicate: Experience the river over the course of the year including the magical autumn. Fish one day each week between 1st Febuary and 3rd October and then again between 16th November and 28th November thereby giving you 37 days for £900. (you will fish the entire season with the exception of six weeks in the Autumn). The syndicate is limited to 12 with a maximum of 2 syndicate rods available per day. There will be no gillie although arrangements will be made to show you the water.

2016 Day Lets

Autumn (5th October - 15th November):
The beat is fished by four rods in two beats, upper and lower, which are alternated each lunchtime, and each pair of rods will have one ghillie looking after them. The minimum let is two rods for three days although if you are only one rod we can normally find someone to take the second rod.
