Fishing on the River Tweed

The River Tweed has always been internationally famous for its salmon fishing, with people coming from all over the world to fish it.

After a record breaking year in 2010 and another good year in 2011, it also now ranks among the very top salmon rivers in the world.

There is huge range of fishing available throughout the salmon season, which runs from 1st February to 30th November, much of it at surprisingly low prices.

When not fishing, you will find the Scottish Borders a fascinating area to explore, with many interesting things to see and do

Tweed and its tributaries also have a good sea trout in summer and autumn with some large specimens being taken.

In addition it has some excellent wild trout fishing and some good quality winter grayling fishing.
