The beat fishes double bank from the start of the season until the end of April when the boat is taken off and it reverts to single bank until the end of June.
From the end of June to the end of the season
the beat Reverts back to double bank fishing.
In the summer months when single bank fishing is in progress there might be local angling club members on the beat.
Upper Redgorton Beat is the west bank from
Luncarty Beat at the downstream end
(at the mouth of the Sochie Burn) to
The "Craigs" at the upstream end where it
marches with the Benchil beat.
Upper Redgorton has a reciprocal agreement
with the beat opposite which allows fishing from
both banks in the main part of the season.
The beat will be fished for 2015 Upper Beat on Monday Wednesday and Friday
Lower Beat Tuesday
Thursday and Saturday
Traditional Fishing Bothy with gas stove and heater.
Picnic table and chairs for "dining out" when weather is kind. Toilet.
The main Pools on the Upper Beat are Black Hole,
Lodge End, Benchil Green, Well Hole.
Lower Beat Fire Shot, Red Brae, Knowes Bank
Cochranes Hole, Five Trees, Sochie Mouth.
