Only a couple of minutes off the A9 through the village of Aberuthven.

Description

The Upper Aberuthven beat enjoys single bank fishing on a middle/lower stretch of the River Earn approximately 1 mile long and consisting 8 named pools.Vehicle access to the side of the river is good and a track mainly suitable for 4 WD's covers most of the beat.

Predominately, the Autumn run now provides the main sport on the river but work is on going to re-establish the good spring run of Salmon and the once famous Sea-trout run. The beat can accomodate both fly and spinning depending on water conditions and fishes best after a spate,the optimum height anywhere between 1ft - 3ft.

A new hut is planned for 2010 season and the owners'(if available) are more than happy to personally advise you or answer any enquiries you may have regarding the fishings.
