8.5km (+5 miles) of exciting and varied salmon fishing mainly single bank divided into three beats on the most prolific river system within the Tay catchment area. Full time ghillie included.
The Cargill, Rattray and Laycock beats of the River Ericht span over five miles of this excellent under-rated salmon river which is only about ten miles in overall length. An average run of approximately 10,000 salmon per annum has been recorded by the fish counter within this fishery between 1992 and 2011 when it was removed, making the Ericht system one of the most prolific within the Tay catchment area. The Ericht has a good run of salmon throughout the year with fish running from the start of the season. There is a full time ghillie on the water and transport to the various beats can be provided when required. These beats have only been fished intermittently over the past 50 years not withstanding this catches of up to 85 salmon have been returned for the water within the last five years. The owners are confident that the future catches recorded can show an appreciable increase in this figure.
