Dunkeld House Fishings is one of the most scenic beats on the Middle Tay. Situated immediately above Dunkeld's Old Tay Bridge, the beat boasts 14 named pools, with fishing available on both banks.
Water conditions permitting, two boats and 2 ghillies work the beat, offering every type of Salmon Fishing for our guests' enjoyment.
We can offer tuition for the novice and informative advice on flies/lures/lines etc for more experienced anglers.
We can accommodate up to eight anglers daily on the beat, with up to two rods in each boat (harling, spinning or bait fishing). Fishing commences for all rods at 9am, all rods fishing rested pools. For safety reasons we feel that only one person can fly-fish from the boat at a time. The use of both banks allows the angler access to uncongested water even in lower water conditions.
BOAT - Fishing has to be booked for two people fishing in the same boat. If only one person wants to fish, he still has to pay for both rods to cover the cost of the ghillie and boat provided. For safety resaons we do not recommend that more than one person fly fishes from the boat at the same time.
Fishing Tackle can be hired prior to fishing. Anglers are asked to arrive at the fishing hut for approx 8.45am, in order to get the best out of you days fishing and to meet the ghillie on the beat.
