The beat strictly adhering to the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board catch and release recommendations. We would like to remind all anglers that Coupar Grange has banned the use of worms until 1st June, in conjunction with the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board recommendations. Full details of these can be found at www.tdsfb.org.
The beat enjoys two miles of double bank fishing across 12 pools and produces some of the best catches on the whole Tay system with 75% of fish caught on the fly, and spinning working well in high water
Coupar Grange is not your typical beat on the River Isla as it gradually falls some 5 feet as you travel its length. This provides anglers with the opportunity to fish some excellent runs and pools using fly and spinner. (see catch statistics)
Head Ghillie John Muller has worked on the beat for well over 16 years, understandably his knowledge of the beat, river and salmon is second to none.
We have a fully equipped fishing hut and WC. Adequate parking next to the hut and easy access to the river for disabled anglers.
We are known for our friendly approach and care that you have an enjoyable days fishing.
Accommodation can also be arranged for our guests prior to arrival.
For wildlife enthusiasts the beat boasts a great variety of birds and mammals from ospreys, peregrine, kingfishers, buzzard, roe deer, otter, hares and water vole seen regularly. Remember to bring your camera.
Coupar Grange is 1 mile from Coupar Angus and 4 miles from Blairgowrie. Both Perth and Dundee are just 20 minutes by car.
We would like to remind all anglers that Coupar Grange has banned the use of worms until 1st June, in conjunction with the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board recommendations.
