Description

Tomintoul Angling Association water comprises about two miles of the right bank of the River Avon near Tomintoul, Moray. There are seven pools in the stretch, with two being good holding pools for salmon and sea trout. The beat used to be known as the 'Tomintoul Free Water' but is now leased from the Crown Estate - it is non profit making and any surplus funds are distributed to good causes in the village. Two rods are let per day and the stretch is available to local permit holders (conditions apply).
Permits are available at the local Post Office - there are also some miles of free brown trout fishing in the nearby Conglass Burn.
