Easter Elchies is on the left bank opposite Upper Arndilly and downstream of Craigellachie Bridge. Dandaleith Farm is the access point to the beat.
One of Lower Spey's premier beats, this has been fished privately for many years.
The beat consists of 10 named pools, starting from Craigallachie Bridge, there is the Bridge Pool, Smiddy, Boat Hole, Fiddich, Heathery Isle, Upper Dip, Lower Dip, Red Craig and Ladies Haugh
Only four rods will fish the beat at any one time.
The water is fished from the bank, by wading and from the boat. Wading, for the most part, is fairly easy. Rods will rotate the pools during the day. The ghillie will place rods to their pools in the morning and this selcection will be aided by the ghillie and him only.
For the beat it is advised that chest waders are worn with a life vest. A 15 ft fishing rod with a floating line and multiple tip options are preferred. Intermediate lines would be an advantage in the spring months.
This is without doubt one of the nicest lower beats on the Spey and offers some great sport in most water conditions.
