Getting here
By road
The River Nith is very easily reached by the UK's main trunk roads, being approximately 6 hours from London and 4 hours from Birmingham.
The A76 runs through the Nith valley and most of the beats are less than ten minutes by car from it. People coming from the south via the M6 should get onto the A75 at Carlisle and head west toward Dumfries. Likewise anglers coming from the north should join the M74 and head south.
