Last week

Last updated: Sunday 13th May

The great glen can be a spectacular place to be in May, however last week felt more like January, with driving rain and snow, being pushed in by a north easterly wind, that would cut through the best of thermal clothing!! However this did top up the lochs, which should provide good generation on the upper system for the coming weeks.

On the fishing front, the river ness continued to produce fish, with ness castle and the laggan beat landing fish to 19.5lb. I also heard that dochfour have gone on an unlucky streak, loosing six fish in a row, indicating the high speed fish are running through the river.

The river garry managed a couple last week, with the river oich and moriston a little quieter, although good numbers of fish are being seen.
