Last week and yesterday the anglers and salmon Connected, plenty of action and sport was had on all Ness beats
and a great week for all on the river.
A good allround week has been had and this week has started well.
IAC PLEASE NOTE Bridge works
Wills Bros will start scour protection works at the new bridge next Monday (August 28). They will begin by blocking the weir on the north side, while maintaining flow in the Whin Lade. That day, and perhaps the first part of Tuesday, fish rescue will be required, carried out by the Ness and Beauly Fisheries Trust. Works sequence in the first week will be closing the dam at the Weir, fish rescue, construction of an access ramp and removal of the Bailey bridge and existing gabions.

Scotland's Salmon Festival celebrates the iconic Atlantic salmon as a flagship species symbolising efforts to conserve and enhance the economic, social, cultural, educational and ecological value of Scotland's rich freshwater and natural resources.
The inaugural Scotland's Salmon Festival took place in September 2015 and was a great success.
The second Scotland's Salmon Festival takes place from the 29th August, culminating on the 1st and 2nd September with the Inverness Angling Club Centenary Spey casting Tournament and the Bught Park Fair.
