Junior Rules

The entry form must be duly completed and signed as required and returned to the FishPal Malloch Trophy Secretary as soon as possible and no later than one month after capture (except in the case of a November capture, where the entry form must be returned by 1st December).

2016 Prizes

The Winner each year will have his/her name and the details of the river and size of fish engraved on The FishPal Malloch Trophy. The Trophy is displayed throughout the year within the fishing department of the House of Bruar, Blair Atholl, Perthshire.

The Winner will receive a silver replica Malloch Trophy, a £250 FishPal Gift Voucher, a Mackenzie DTX rod and a box of salmon flies from Caledonia Fly Company.

The Ghillie (if it is a 'ghillied fish') will receive a FishPal Malloch Trophy Certificate.

The Beat on which the fish is caught will receive a FishPal Malloch Trophy Certificate.

There will be a Formal Presentation of the FishPal Malloch Trophy at a place and date to be agreed by FishPal and the committee.

2016 Junior Prizes

The top four juniors will be invited to join world spey casting champion Scott Mackenzie for a day's fishing with tuition and lunch on Fishponds beat, River Tay in 2017. Date to be confirmed. They will each receive a box of salmon flies from Caledonia Fly Company and a FishPal Junior Malloch Certificate.


Judging Committee

The FishPal Malloch Trophy Committee is made up of representatives from all the regions in Scotland and the Chairman of RAFTS.

The independent judging panel will meet in December to decide the year's winners. The FishPal Malloch Trophy committee will consider all valid entries, and the winner will be decided on 'best evidence' as agreed by the committee. Winners will be notified no later than the 20th December 2016.

The winner, their guests and representatives of the Trust on whose river the fish was caught, will be invited to a formal presentation in 2017. Venue to be agreed.

The Committee's decision in all matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into subsequent to the award winner being announced in December.
