Fishing Report Monday 12th Feb - Friday 16th Feb.

The second full week of the season started slow with water level against us along with water temp. However the jungle drums were ringing that fish had been seen lower in the system.

Thursday 15th seen a slight rise in water over the previous night. The water was sitting at around 0.35m when Mr Garry Watson got the fright of his life, "I hooked it and it about turned and headed down stream". Garry was fairly certain when he was playing the fish what it was but when he landed it his assumptions were confirmed. It was a beautiful, pristine silver tourist around 11LB. This was Garry's first ever Teith springer and marked the first fish of the 2018 season from Stirling Council Fisheries. The fish was caught on an aluminium posh tosh tube.

This was the perfect fairy-tale. Garry had fished with us for many years previously but around 4years ago had decide to call it a day. This year when he was made aware of the permit prices he decided he would give it another go, and he is really happy that he did!

Other anglers reported seeing fish they believe as springers running through Callander on the afternoon of Thursday 15th. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come!

Day Permits for either the Forth or Teith are now online, 3 monthly (Feb - Apr) (May - Jul) (Aug - Oct) permits are now available online for either the Forth or Teith at a cost of £100.00 and our season permits which covers Feb - Oct and incorporates both the Forth and Teith are now also online for sale (adult £200.00 & Youth £15.00).
