River Nairn Angling Association Latest Report

Last updated: Saturday 11th April

Once again we had a great start to the week with 2 fish being caught on monday. Kelvin Fraser had a 10 lb salmon and Alistair MacKellar struck again with his 2 nd salmon of the season, another 10 lb fish, and this time on an Allys Shrimp. Both fish were caught at Rosefield and were safely released. After monday, there was bright sunshine most of the week and the river continued to drop away. It was also very warm and no further fish were seen or caught. Saturday saw the return to winter and it was cold and windy, with snow on the hills. Prospects for next week are a return to warm weather with showers so hopefully fishing will improve as levels rise again.
