Anglers wanting to fish just one rod are therefore asked to pay for a two-rod beat. Parties of more than two rods can rent up to four beats (for 7 or 8 rods).

Description

Four two-rod beats are offered on a 24 hour basis from 0700 on the agreed date. Whilst rents are based on rod daily rates we do not let individual rods.

We decided this because we want anglers to have an experience of privacy and exclusive fishing on unspoiled pools. Anglers wanting to fish just one rod are therefore asked to pay for a two-rod beat. Parties of more than two rods can rent up to four beats (for 7 or 8 rods).

The four beats are Milton, Castle, Bogardo and Indies. Each beat has at least one major holding pool, some of which are justly famous, such as Red Brae, Indies, Tyndals, Haughs, Breadalbane and Boat Pool. In all there are 25 pools over four beats.
