This wonderful beat is located just to the east of Banchory beside the Park Bridge and consists of 2 miles of double bank fishing.
The beat has 16 named pools including the famous Kirk and Keith pools. The beat affords visitors quality facilities with 2 well appointed fishing huts including cooking, heating and toilet facilities,
The beat is known by the regulars as "the carpet slipper" beat signifying how well maintained the beat is.
The beat is managed by a very experienced and popular ghillie Mr Jim Paton who is an excellent fly caster who excels in helping his customers with assistance and advice as required to ensure they maximise their pleasure and experience of the beat.
The beat has some excellent fly fishing streams and pools and can be productive all season when conditions are favourable.
The beat has a history of producing occasional big fish which ensures a very loyal customer base who come year after year to the beat.
The beat has some areas that would suit people with disability where some constructed walkways provide assistance
