Heaven! - Into a Springer in a Blizzard.
It's hard to believe it is almost Christmas, 2016 has fairly zipped along. We began the year struggling with the aftermath of Storm Frank, and approach 2017 with renewed vigour and optimism. Everyone at the River Office wishes you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2017. Roll on 1 February!
Remember to keep an eye on our early season availability. Once we recover from the festivities, it will soon be time to start thinking about getting back on the river.
Be sure to get your copy of Trout & Salmon Magazine this month - there is an 8-page feature on the Dee to whet the appetite for next season. It's packed with everything you need to know about fishing the Dee.
Mill of Dess Lodge has had a very successful first year. The Lodge has 10 double/twin bedrooms and are fully serviced and catered. It is ideal for fishing and shooting parties: there are kennels to the rear of the building and there is a boot room with secure gun storage and for storing and drying wet gear. It really has been developed with the sportsman in mind. Read more on the FishDee blog

We all want fishing and fishing equipment for Christmas - at least I do. A FishPal voucher is a great present and can be used throughout the FishPal network, but are best used to buy fishing on the Dee!!!
There is still time to get hold of a bottle of the Dee Dram in time for Christmas. The Dee Dram brand independently produced a limited edition of 405 bottles from a single cask. Each bottle is individually
numbered making them a rare and interesting gift. This first edition will also be of interest to whisky collectors. All profits go directly to the River Dee Trust.
Bottles cost £46.50 and are available from the Deeside Drinks Emporium - 01330 822650. Mainland UK delivery for the whisky is available for £8 first class recorded.

The best way to keep an eye on the latest availability is to register for a Rod Alert which will allow an email to be sent to you first thing in the morning if new fishing has been added to the site. You can also receive latest catches and river level information direct to your mailbox.
