Species in Scotland
Pike are the most popular and widely distributed coarse species in Scotland. They are present throughout the whole of mainland Scotland except the most northerly parts of Caithness and Sutherland, and good specimens are present in most waters.
Carp fishing is becoming increasingly popular in Scotland with a number of fisheries established in recent years. Most are based in the Central belt and Dumfries & Galloway in the South West
Other species include Bream, Chub, Dace, Eel, Gudgeon, Perch, Roach, Rudd & Tench
