Last week

(Last updated: Monday 23rd April)

Lower Beauly

A slow start to the season. The first and only salmon to date was caught by a member of the Holt party on 12 April; a 15 pounder. Sea trout catches were good for the first two weeks (14 to the Syndicate rods to date), though nothing was taken last week.

Water has been very low for the time of year, which may be discouraging fish from entering the system. It was noticeable last week that the Farrar, where spring fish are generally regarded as heading, was running low, with most water coming down the Glass.
