Description

A "wee gem" that runs from source to the mouth of the river at the north east town of Peterhead. A river with a fantastic hatchery programme in place, a fish counter and most importantly unrivaled access for disabled anglers. The river has 6 miles of double bank fishing, but the locals tend to fish off the north bank which contains over three miles of manicured single bank fishing in this north east spate river. Fishing methods are with the fly, the worm and spinner. The sea trout tend to enter the river around April-May. The grilse enter the river around july - August with the salmon arriving later during the back end Sep-Oct. The anglers have seen the salmon arriving earlier over the last few seasons, with springers being caught during the early months of the season, and the multi winter fish arriving as early as June.
