After a rise in water over the weekend there is always a chance of a fish on any of the Ayrshire rivers. Rod pressure is light at the moment which may account for poor catch numbers and with a dry week forecast the river levels are likely to drop further in the coming days. Salmon fishing in Ayrshire comes at a very affordable price at this time year and although May is classed as early for all the Ayrshire rivers, do not be discouraged from giving it a try.
