Getting here
Ayrshire is very accessible by all modes of transport. There are excellent road, rail, air and sea links.
By road
From Glasgow and the central belt the easiest road access is via the M77 then A77 which passes through Ayr and follows the coast all the way down to Stranraer. From the south the best route is via the M74 then the A70 from Douglas to Ayr. Alternatively the A76 from Dumfries runs directly to Kilmarnock.
