Newbie and Distillery Fishings on the River Annan, was timeshared in the mid 1980's and is divided into 3 beats, split over 10 rods, for the 36 weeks of the fishing season, giving 360 rod weeks in all.

Some owners hold multiple rod weeks, giving a total of individual owners of around 125 at this time.

The Newbie Beat is a much sought after and productive fishery of about 2 miles, mostly double bank, and being just above the tide and at times in part tide affected, can produce fresh fish in even the lowest of waters.

With a part time Keeper maintaining the river and it's banks, and a large hut with full facilities, this is a must for the serious salmon and sea trout angler alike.

Just 7 miles from the Scottish border and the M74, it is readily accessible to most centres of population, with London just over 4 hours away.

From time to time rod weeks come up for sale and more often to let, offering the opportunity to purchase in perpetuity, or to rent for that week, high quality uncrowded fishing for both salmon and seatrout.
