The outfitter's name, emails and telephone numbers will be included in the joining instructions which are immediately sent by e-mail after the purchasing of fishing permits.
The fishery operates the 'Afternoon to Noon' fishing policy which means the fishing starts in the afternoon at 16:00 on the first day purchased and must terminate by 12:00 on the day after the last day purchased.
On the first day, arrival is expected around 15:00 at the lodge.
Fishing hours are maximum 6 hours in the afternoon and 6 hours in the morning depending though on the length of daylight (during June & July the midnight sun gives 24 hours of daylight).
The maximum number of rods allowed to fish at any one time are six (6). It is quite common in Iceland for 2 fishermen to share one rod. For sharing partners, please contact Mr. Petur Petursson concerning extra costs involved.
On the last day, fishing is allowed until 12:00. Departure from the lodge is expected around 14:00.
This river has a strict catch and release policy on all sea trout.
Please contact the outfitter in advance of your fishing trip for advice on travelling to Iceland, instructions when arriving at Keflavik International Airport in Iceland, driving instructions to the fishing lodge, hotel recommendations in Reykjavik before and after fishing (if required) and any other kind of help, such as sight-seeing for non-fishing parties, car rentals, hourse riding tours, whale watching, etc.
