The fishery operates the 'Afternoon to Noon' fishing policy which means the fishing starts in the afternoon at 16:00 on the first day purchased and must terminate by 12:00 on the day after the last day purchased.
On the first day, arrival is expected around 14:00 at the lodge.
Fishing hours are maximum 6 hours in the afternoon and 6 hours in the morning depending though on the length of daylight (during June & July the midnight sun gives 24 hours of daylight).
It is quite common in Iceland for 2 fishermen to share one rod. For the extra cost of sharing partners then please contact email@example.com
On the last day, fishing is allowed until 12:00. Departure from the lodge is expected around 14:00.
This river operates a catch and release policy, but if needed anglers can kill char enough for a family meal.
When travelling to the Brunna river you have the choice of driving from Reykjavik to the North coast approx. 555 km, or fly with Air Iceland (Web: www.airiceland.is) to Akureyri, rent-a-car and drive the rest of the way some 166 km.
Local ghillie will meet the fishing party at the lodge. Ghillie and outfitters names, emails and telephone numbers will be included in the joining instructions that are immediately sent by e-mail after the purchasing of fishing permits.
