New site schedule

We are in the midst of totally redesigning the look and feel of all our sites, as well as most of the back end systems that deliver pages and data to them.

This is a truly herculean task, as we have thousands of pages to change and we need to make sure we do it properly and well.

We also need to do it without interruption to the services we supply, so we cannot rush it.

We are therefore staging the release of new sites. Our river sites will come first and each will be timed for the first part of their close season (see below)

Only when they are all completed, will we launch the new FishPal site, which needs all the river pages to be in place first.

We ask you all to be patient during this process and are sure that you will find the wait worthwhile.

Estimated Timings

Early OctFishDee, FishSpey, FishFindhorn, Kyle
Late OctFishTay, FishBeauly, FishNess, FishFoyle, Cumbria, Tamar, Towy, Usk

What can you see so far?

Most of the work we are doing at the moment is building new back end systems, so although this work is now nearly complete there is nothing much we can actually show you yet!

This will change as we start to implement our agreed new design and soon we should have something worthwhile to show you.

In the meantime, have a look at:

Splash pages These will be removed when the relevant new site is launched

New Beat Maps showing positon of pools with pictures and text explanations. Also beat boundaries, position of huts and car parks and Sat Nav information on how to get to the Fishery entrance. Choice of various Background maps or Satellite imagery.

Coming next:

Late Aug: Example beat pages in our new style with lots of new features for you.
