What is covered?
Trip Cancellation by you due to unavoidable events beyond your control.
Flooding disruption where no fishing at all is possible due to flood conditions on the beat.
Personal property: Repair or replacement of damaged, lost or stolen property.
Personal Liability: Legal expenses and or third party claims.
Personal inability to fish: If you fall ill, suffer sprain or are injured during the period of insurance.
Who is covered?
The person who makes the booking, on behalf of anyone who fishes as their guest for a full day.
How much is covered?
Trip cancellation by you: Travel within the UK, accommodation and the full cost of the fishing rent paid to FishPal, including booking and card charges and any Fishery VAT. Maximum £1,500 per rod/day with £50 excess.
Flooding disruption: The full cost of the fishing rent paid to FishPal, including booking and card charges and any Fishery VAT. Maximum £1,500 per rod/day with £50 excess.
Personal property £1,500 but no more than £200 per item (excess: £50 any one claim).
Personal Liability: Maximum £2 million.
NB The total claim for any one person is limited to £1500 per day except for the Personal liability part.
What is excluded?
Main exclusions are claims for low water conditions, travel by some motorbikes, Pre-existing Medical conditions or any hazardous sports or activities. More details can be seen on our Significant Exclusions page.
What is the cost?
10% on the cost of your fishing (including any VAT on that fishing). Payable on booking, or on addition of the cover to an existing booking. Minimum premium £20 per rod/day.
Included in this cost is Insurance Premium Tax at 20%.
How do I book?
New bookings: Just click the box just below the selection of rods and days on the first page of the online booking system. You can change your mind later in the booking system if you want.
Old bookings: Ring our help desk on 01573 470612, but you must pay by card immediately or there will be no cover. Please note that cover can only be added to an old booking, not less than 14 days from the fishing date itself.
How do I claim?
The policy contract is with Travel Claims Facilities not FishPal, so your claim should be made direct to them by telephoning 01732 853 358 or using this
claim form. FishPal will not be involved in any way with the claims process and the decision on whether to pay a claim or not is entirely 's.
