Description

This famous beat includes the North and South Tyne Junction Pool known as the Waters Meet.

This is a great gathering place for both salmon and sea trout. The fish enter this pool after running through the Tyne and are often seen in great numbers as they rest or hold whilst waiting for the right conditions for them to ascend their home rivers.
The Tyne counts of ascending migratory fish are averaging around 32,000 per season, the great majority of these fish will be in the Junction Pool at some stage of their journey.

The beat offers good fly water and spinning is also allowed, with water conditions determining the method. There is a catch limit of two fish per rod.

The owners are offering the fishing for two rods per day for the peak fishing months of September and October.

This is a first class opportunity to fish for both the North and South Tyne salmon and sea trout.

The beat is also one of the few beats to fish well in low water and in high summer.
