Description

Casterbridge Fisheries is based at our home The Dairy House in West Stafford on the banks of the river Frome, one of the finest chalk stream fisheries in southern England.

This river I have worked on as river keeper for over twenty five years and I look forward to sharing the magic and its fish with our visiting anglers, "chalk stream dreams" as they say....

We have some stunning fishing available, having a number of beats on the middle reaches of this delightful river available on a day ticket basis.

The Home Beat that has never been stocked and is full of wild Brown Trout and the odd huge Grayling, for which the Frome is famous.

The Gardener's Beat being lightly stocked give's our visiting angler's the option of keeping a fish for supper.

We also sell a limited number of tickets for the famous Dorchester Fishing Club.
We also offer the option of casting tuition, and guiding during your visit.

We welcome small corporate groups to come and fish, tailor making each visit to suit your party, be it lunch by the fishing hut or in the great village pub only a short walk away.
